Antonio's Picture On Mystic Seaport Website

Hello my friends and visitors! Today I found out that my son's picture is on the Mystic Seaport website. Of course I was happy and so proud of him. We went there in April for his spring break vacation and Mystic Seaport at that time was already preparing for their summer campaign. They saw Antonio in the Art Spot enjoying one of their art activities and they asked me and my husband if they can take a picture of him for their website. We said yes and we signed a waiver. I recommend Mystic Seaport to all families out there with young children. They have so many exhibits and activities that I'm sure parents and children alike will find educational, interesting and entertaining.

A Lesson For All Paid Bloggers

I'd like to share this experience in the hopes of helping my co-bloggers become more cautious in accepting opportunities and posting them.

Just this week I grabbed an opportunity about a vitamin product. When you've grabbed an opportunity with PPP and you're ready to post it first you have to scroll down and look for that drop-down menu where it will show you the qualified blogs where you can post the ad opportunity. All my three blogs showed up and I chose my blogspot blog which according to the advertiser was an excluded domain. Confusing, right? Instantly you'll see that there's a mistake somewhere. And if indeed it was an excluded domain I wouldn't be able to submit it and I will get an error message. To make the story short I got a BAN (from the advertiser) for the first time since I started blogging with PPP in March 2008.

I was really upset about it and as a matter of fact until now. I emailed PPP and they're kind enough to contact the advertiser to lift the ban which until now is still showing in my PPP profile. I want to delete the post in exchange for the advertiser to lift the ban. What's the point of writing about their product when the advertiser itself has banned me? Very POINTLESS! Right now I don't care about the $10.00. It's not worth it for all the aggravation it has caused me.

A Big Relief

Friday is always a big relief. I'm looking forward for this weekend for some photo trips. Antonio will be away for two days and it will give me enough time to go away and take pictures non-stop. I wish everyone a great weekend and thanks for your constant visit.

Another long weekend is coming. We planned to go somewhere but it has changed. Things keep coming up. Antonio will be away for two nights for a Maine trip with his good friend. His Dad and I will miss him so badly. But definitely I'm going out this weekend to take some pictures.

Antonio And Trickle

I call our bed "the community bed". My dog Trickle loves to sleep with us, I don't know why. And mind you he snores a lot. I took this picture one morning so I can show it to Antonio. He loves it when Trickle sleeps next to him.

How My Day Off Went

Whew, what a busy day it was!

I did a lot of running around today. We brought Antonio to his dentist and everything was fine. The sore that he felt in one of his crowns was not a cause for alarm. The dentist said that Antonio might have eaten something that was hard or cold and triggered that pain.

From the hospital we went straight to the RMV for my learner's permit test. As usual I passed it. We're aiming for the spring for my road test and I hope this time I'll have the guts to do it. I actually have a driving envy, lol. I've been here longer than some of my friends but they're already driving. I guess I was really challenged. Big thanks to them.

After the RMV, we went to Macy's to return some stuff. Boy, was I so proud of myself! We happened to pass by the 'bags section' and most of the purses were on sale. I saw this Michael Korrs leather wallet and I absolutely loved it but I'm trying to hold off on 'impulse spending'. I have some wallets that I haven't even used and it's insane to add one more to them.

So we got home around 3pm and I did some house chores right away. As you can tell it just never stops.

Cute And Funny

I think this picture is cute and funny. Between the cow and the dog it was the latter who was more aggressive. He was actually barking at the cow but the cow didn't seem to mind.

Up Close In Red

This flower caught my attention because of its size. I haven't seen a flower as big as this. My bad I didn't take note of the name of this flower but sure it was beautiful.

Google PR Updating Already?

I just noticed this morning that my PR's went down from 1 to 0 and the other one from 3 to 2. I just got them last month. I wonder what happened...but I survived without the PR's so no big deal. What about yours?

Yellow Pop

Here's a picture for everyone. I edited this in PS just so I can divert my mind from worrying too much about my laptop. Just when I'm starting to get used to it problems happen. Suddenly I'm exhausted, I was drained this morning. I tried to fix the problems but they seem not to be the solutions. Right now I'm scanning it but if it won't work I'm going to bring it to the vendor. I'm just upset because I spent a lot of money on that laptop. But according to my always calm hubby, there are worse things than this. I'm back to using my desktop for now.

Purple

Purple is one of my favorite colors. I've researched on the meaning of purple and it says that it's the color of good judgment and you'll have peace of mind if you surround yourself with purple. It's also a good color to use in meditation.

As we all know purple is a combination of red (the warmest color) and blue (the coolest color). Obviously when you combine two extremes you get a neutral result which I believe is the reason why purple is an ideal color. Purple is the most favored color of children and artists.

You can put some purple in your life when you want:

-to use your imagination to its fullest
-to re-balance your life
-to remove obstacles
-to calm overactivity or to energize from depression

I hope everyone had a good night's sleep and most importantly, I hope everyone woke up at the right side of the bed this morning. I made some pulled pork in the slow cooker last night so I was on and off the bed a few times to check it but I'll be fine for the rest of the day.

My Daily Bread

I love cinnamon buns. I always have it for breakfast....and sometimes when the craving is too strong I'll have it for lunch or dinner. I put it in a microwave for a few seconds to make it a little softer and I'm all set. My life is easy.

A Good Problem To Have

Now that two of my blogs have PR's I have more tasks to do. Yes it can translate to more revenue but I don't have enough time to do all of them. What's more important to me is that I have time to spend with Antonio when I get home from work. I miss him everyday. (Now, I'm ready to cry). He's aware that I get extra money from blogging and he even told me that it's fine if I'm in front of the computer while he's watching TV. But it's not fine with me. To solve this my husband bought me a new HP laptop last week so I can be where Antonio is in the house. Sweet.

We had a cool and gloomy day today but it's better than hot and humid. Hot days always give me headaches so the weather today was just right for me. Well, gloomy and overcast days are not really good for taking pictures base on my experience. But for now I'll take it.

Life Is Good

I woke up today to a nice morning. We left the windows open last night since it wasn't really that hot and we just used the electric fans. Very economical compared to using the a/c. I can smell and feel the morning breeze all over the house which is very refreshing. Add to this the chirping of the birds outside. Ahhh...life is good. I love simple pleasures.

Now, That's A Lot Of Pumpkin

This pumpkin is not just your ordinary pumpkin. First off, this pumpkin is organic, excuse me. At 897 pounds, it tipped the scales at the State Farmer's Market last Friday. The weight of this huge pumpkin is equivalent of two Siberian male tigers or about 9 old truck tires. Whew!

The pumpkin broke the state record of South Carolina which was 737 pounds in 2006. The couple who grew the vegetable plans to sell the pumpkin but they want the seeds so they can try again next year for another record. Go, go, go!

I'm Friendly

Yes, I am. If I don't appear like one, well, it's a big problem, lol. Most of my closest friends are from high school and they're in the Philippines. I have a high school friend who lives in California and she's one of my best friends. She's also working full-time so we don't get to talk as often as we'd like to. But when we do, there's no stopping us from talking. We talk like there's no tomorrow. We talk about our family, our work and so many other things. I told her about blogging but she seems not to be interested.

I have made friends too in the blogosphere. It is amazing! Jenn is one of them and yes, we talk about blogging all the time, lol. She's a very smart girl. I hope I can meet her in person someday.

...And His Name Is Powder

The 44-lb. cat found in New Jersey is a male and his name is 'Powder'. Doesn't he look so cute? I'm not surprised why so many people wanted to adopt him. The owner of the cat came forward and said that she abandoned Powder when her house was foreclosed. I hope that Powder will find a responsible family.
