Yoroku Adachi was appointed as Canon's President and CEO on April 1, 2005. He replaced Kinya Uchida who is now the Advisor at Canon Inc. in Tokyo. Prior to his appointment, Adachi was named President of Canon Canada in 1998. He was also appointed President and CEO of Canon China and Canon Hong Kong, and Chairman of Canon Singapore in 2001.
