George Eastman

If not for the brilliant invention of George Eastman I wouldn't be enjoying photography now. He invented the first film in roll form in 1884 and also the Kodak camera in 1888.

Eastman was also a great philanthropist. He has donated more than $75M in various projects including the gift he gave to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He died on March 14, 1932 in Rochester, New York at the age of 78.
